It seems that almost every contributor to the 'fotopages' that has passed through Shanghai feels the desire to post a few pictures of the metro trains (underground) system.
The system was designed and installed by Siemens at great expense to the Shanghai Municipal Government. However they got it cheap, as VW wanted to build millions of cars in the area, so after lots of back scratching, Shanghai now has quite possibly the best underground system Ive been on. Having visited Paris, Glasgow, Newcastle and lived in London and Liverpool for many years, none of these cities can compare their underground with Shanghai.
In the event of 'nothing better to do' I may take a photographic record of every single station. But, until this point, I shall conform to the clich? and post a total of three 'underground' pictures.
Besides a new excuse for subject matter, the metro took us to Nanjing Road East, here I set up tripod and took lots of pictures of the same thing...
Er...nice one...
